Northwind Free Company (NFC) is a Roleplaying Kinship based on the [EN-RP] Laurelin server of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, portraying a disparate band of mercenaries aligned with the Free Peoples of Middle-earth.

Our emphasis is on maturity, co-operation, fun, and high-quality roleplaying in a tight-knit atmosphere of friendship and mutual support. We expect all members to adhere to the highest standards of personal behaviour, kinship spirit, and RP. Accordingly, we place the quality of our members over quantity, and maintain an active, selective roster.

Details of how we intend to handle the Player Housing in Book 11 as a kinship have been posted on the Kinship Discussion forums in the thread "Housing, Neighbourhoods, and NFC" ... all members should read over it, if they have not already, and sign themselves up for their preferred address by replying to the thread!

The actual housing "zerg" itself will occur on Thursday evening, provisionally we will look to gather at the Bree Homesteads housing vendor around 6.30pm UK time.

Both the Kinship Charter and the Raid Guidelines are finally out. Please read them and acknowledge them by leaving a short comment with them.

The site's design theme has been re-tooled to be easier on the eye, particularly when it comes to text showing up on backgrounds, as well as to allow more width in the content section - especially with the Forum in mind.

Hopefully it represents an improvement - please give your thoughts! And of course, ongoing tweaks and changes will be made over time. As always, any ideas or suggestions can be made on the forums.
